TRAX, the high-octane car event from Future Publishing, is hosting a gripping attempt to set the new world record in a Westfield Sport 1600 for 360' 'donut' car spins at Silverstone next month.

Challenged by professional racing driver Jamie Morrow from Westfield Sportscars Limited, the current record stands at 161 consecutive spins, a record set by Terry Grant at the Santapod racetrack in February 2011.

Morrow aims to smash the current record and is even adding an element of precision by spinning his car around a fixed point.

Taking place on 3rd and 4th of September, TRAX will be attended by special guests including the former Stig, Ben Collins, and current 'donut' world record holder himself, Terry Grant.

TRAX appeals to all disciplines of motoring and welcomes every make and model, with over 4,500 performance, sport and motorsport cars set to be on display.

World-record challenger, Jamie Morrow, says: "I'm excited about TRAX and the challenge ahead. I'm going to push myself to the next level and am confident that I'll break the current world record for consecutive 360' spins! It's exciting to think that we could make history at TRAX this year."

The car manufacturer, Westfield Sportscars Limited, have provided a Westfield Sport 1600 production car to demonstrate the reliability and flexibility of one its entry level products, Simon Westwood, Sales and Marketing Director, says: "Westfield is delighted with the partnership with TRAX and to be able to prove the technical advancements in our production cars through events organised by TRAX."

TRAX is the largest and final event in Future's Adrian Flux Auto event series and will round off another year of successful shows.
